Mark 13.34-37 For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Therefore watch: for you do not know when the master of the house comes, at evening, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Matthew 25.5-13 While the bridegroom lingered, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go you rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Truly I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of man comes.

Romans 13.11-14 Knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in adultery and unbridled lust, not in strife and envying. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and don’t make provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Colossians 4.2 Continue in prayer, and watch in it with thanksgiving.

This hour is our watch. This is the time that Father has entrusted his vineyard, his kingdom specifically into our hands. Our lives are to be lived in full view of the imminent return of Christ; and focused around seeing everything that will characterize his eternal kingdom lived out in the earth today. Nothing about us can remain in the shadows of sleep, compromise, darkness, temporary focus, prayerlessness, or love of ease. It is high time the myth of “being too heavenly minded to be any earthly good” be totally exposed. So today >> lift up your heads, your redemption draws near.
